Jon Burnett, a Pittsburgh legend. Gone, but not forgotten. He was a newsman, a true pro. Over three decades at KDKA-TV. Man, what a run! His stories, they touched so many. A real impact, you know? Started way back in ’70. Harrisburg, then Pittsburgh. He became a fixture. “Talk of the Morning,” a staple. Everybody watched. Emmy Awards? He won a bunch! So many accolades. A true testament to his work. Then the CTE diagnosis. Tough stuff, really tough. He fought hard. Raised awareness, too. His passing in June 2022? Devastating. The whole industry mourned. Colleagues shared memories. Kindness, humility, they said. A true Pittsburgher, through and through. His legacy? It’s huge. It’ll last forever. We need to remember him. And support those with CTE. It’s important. Don’t forget that.
