Don Lemon: A Trailblazer, Kinda. Wow.
This guy, Don Lemon, right? He’s a big deal. A real TV star. Journalist, author, the whole shebang. Three decades, man! That’s a long time to be on TV. He’s from Louisiana, a small town, I think. Middle-class upbringing, apparently. Good for him.
Started out local, New Orleans and Atlanta. You know, the usual grind. Then BAM! CNN. Primetime! Crazy, huh? Covered huge stuff – Boston Marathon, Ebola, Paris attacks. Emmy’s, Peabody… the works. Seriously impressive. He’s also a huge advocate for LGBTQ+ rights. A real champion. Wrote books, too. I think one was called “The Strange Case of Don Lemon.” Sounds interesting.
He’s openly gay, been with his partner, John Kim, for ages. Lives in NYC. Does charity work. The whole nine yards. Time magazine even called him one of the most influential people. In 2013, I think. Pretty cool. The guy’s a total inspiration, honestly. A real role model. But, you know, even superstars have their off days. Right? He’s human, after all. I mean, who isn’t?
