Sarah Belal: A Pakistani Human Rights Champion

This woman, wow, she’s amazing! Sarah Belal, Justice Project Pakistan’s head, fights for human rights. She’s been at it for ages, a real tireless advocate. Seriously impressive. She’s won tons of awards. Deservedly so!

Her passion? Justice, plain and simple. Started fifteen years ago, maybe more. She’s constantly raising awareness. Capital punishment? She’s against it. “Innocent lives shouldn’t be lost,” she says. “Rehabilitation, not execution!” Powerful words.

Lots of campaigns, too. The 2020 one? Challenging death penalty laws. Unfair trials, she pointed out. Miscarriages of justice, a real problem. Then in 2022, another campaign. Educating people, raising awareness. It’s making a difference. I think.

Awards? She’s got a pile of ’em. The UN gave her one, in 2022. Another one in 2019, from PMA. She deserves all the praise. Seriously.

In a Gulf News interview, she repeated her message. Innocent lives matter. Rehabilitation is key. It’s all about justice. She’s so passionate.

Q&A: She said wrongful executions inspired her. The death penalty is oppression, she believes. Changing minds is her biggest challenge. It’s tough work. Her message to Pakistan? Every life is precious. Her vision? A society that respects human rights. Education is key, she says.

Conclusion: Sarah Belal’s work is inspiring. Her dedication is incredible. She’s making a real difference. Pakistan needs more people like her. Seriously.
