The Harvey Weinstein story, man, it’s a mess. A real cautionary tale, you know? This guy, Weinstein, powerful producer. Miramax, huge! Then, BAM! The allegations hit. Sexual misconduct, rape, the whole nine yards. Seriously messed up.
His rise was fast. Nineties, “Pulp Fiction,” a huge success. He was on top of the world. Then came the fall. So many women, over eighty, came forward. It was shocking. I mean, really shocking.
The trials were a media circus. New York, California, the whole shebang. Guilty verdicts. Twenty-three years. He’s still in prison. Good riddance, I say. Though, I heard he got COVID. Poor guy, right? Not really.
The #MeToo movement exploded. It all changed, you know? Women speaking out. Accountability, finally. It’s a huge shift. A cultural earthquake, really. It’s still impacting things today.
This whole thing, it’s a reminder. Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Weinstein’s a prime example. A cautionary tale for everyone. Don’t abuse your power. Seriously. It’ll bite you in the butt. Hard.
The Q&A stuff is pretty straightforward. #MeToo is about sexual assault awareness. Over eighty women accused him. He’s doing 23 years. No early release. And yes, he had COVID. The end. For now, anyway.
