Malcolm X: A life, man. A real rollercoaster. Powerful stuff. Born in Omaha, 1925. His dad, a minister, killed, tragedy, you know? Left his mom alone. Tough childhood. Really tough.

Lansing, Michigan, next stop. He was smart, though. Excelled in school. Loved readin’. Then, bam! Trouble. Twelve years old, stole a sock. Seriously! Started a string of arrests. Prison changed him. Big time.

1946, Islam. Wow. A total turnaround. El-Hajj Malik el-Shabazz. New name, new life. Family didn’t get it. Lots of conflict. He stuck to his guns, though. Strong beliefs, that man.

Nation of Islam. He rose fast. A powerful speaker. Charismatic. Black nationalism, self-defense. His message hit home. Young people loved him. A true leader.

Married Betty Sanders, six kids. But things got messy. Infidelity, tension. Marriage problems, you know? Eventually, he left the NOI. Differences of opinion. Big ones.

Early 60s, he criticized the NOI. Racial separatism, anti-Semitism. He broke away. Started his own thing. The OAAU. His ideas still matter today. Still relevant.

Assassination, 1965. A terrible loss. But his legacy? It’s huge. Inspiring generations. People still study him. The FBI released files, recently. The Malcolm X Project, too. Amazing resource. A true champion. A complicated man. But a champion nonetheless.
